Loader for M&P 9 Compact
I have a M&P 9 Compact and would like to try the Maglula UpLULA magazine loader. Would anyone know if I would need the 1911 adapter for the loader to fit properly?

I have an UpLula and use it to load all my 9mm magazines. Double wide ones for my M&P 2.0 Compact, single stack ones for my Glock 43 and the somewhere in-between ones for my Sig P365. It works great on all three types, I didn't even know they made adapters. Maybe the single stack ones would be a bit easier to load if there was less slop but it isn't really a problem to use it without an adapter. Even if it was your compact has a double stack magazine.
Buy it, your thumb will thank you.

The adapter isn’t completely necessary but it sure helps. I have one with adapter and one without.

I have the Maglula UpLULA 9MM to 45acp loader and have never had any trouble using it regardless of the magazine, single stack, double stack, makes no difference. I didn't know they made an adapter. I don't know how I ever done without the loader, sure saves your fingers.

You won't need anything but the UpIuIa.

Now I know it'll work with a single stack magazine. Nice.

This. For your pistol, no adapter is needed. In fact, using the adapter will make the uplula NOT work for your magazines.

If your pistol is new..........
make sure you use factory powder, that has enough energy to work the new , strong spring and also enough ammo to smooth out the ruff metal edges, to where the slide works easier, for you.
Have fun.
