Default 9mm in stock at Bud's

Just got an email from Bud's Gun Shop they say they have over 11000 50 round boxes of Blazer 115gr FMJ in stock at $35.
Where the hell did that come from all of a sudden? Lots more of it seems to be out there according to Ammoseek if you're willing to pay over 60 cents a round.

Last factory 9mm I bought (a few years back) was $7.00. Thanks for the heads up, but I wouldn’t pay that for 9mm.

Absolutely NOT picking on you..... but what good is TWO boxes of ammo.

That is not even a good trip to the range.

I have not bought A BOX of ammo in probably 30 years.

I am used to buying cases.

Heck, I can come up with more than that from the glove box in my car..... Hell, and I don't even use 9mm.... I don't have children, and I can come up with more than that.

Well, on GB you CAN buy cases of 9 mm all day long ..... for $600-$700.

What Tom didn’t mention is that you can buy 2 boxes per caliber. So if you’re like me, you buy 2 or 3 calibers and all of the sudden you have 300 rounds (or much more if you buy an 800 pack of Federal 22 LR like I did last week at $0.06/round). Not bad for these days!

IMO the price is too high. I just loaded up 300 rounds of 124gr 9mm ammo.

My LGS / Range had a couple of cases of federal 9mm early this week at $20 / 50. Still more than I am willing to pay but a damn sight less than $35 / 50.

Yep, it's expensive, but if you are a new gun owner, and don't have any ammo, it gets you in the game. 50 or 60 rounds thru the gun on its one trip to the range to ensure it works, and hits to the sight, the rest to load your magazines for a gun that will probably spend years in a drawer in a bed side table.

A couple of years ago I bought a pistol chambered for .38 Short Colt and another pistol chambered for .32 S&W and if I remember correctly the price for ammo was about $45. each. I think $35. for a box of bullets is a bargain. I got a super bargain last month when I got 3 boxes of .32 Auto for $91. Life is good. Larry

No problem! Shooting is just one of my regular hobbies. (Fly Fishing, Golf and Travel are three others). All take $$ to support and I am retired. I get to the range maybe six times a year. Usually take multiple calibers of handguns/rifles (9MM, 45 ACP, .38 Special, and .22LR). Only have two 9mm - a Beretta 92F and a Shield. Shoot more .38 and 22LR than anything else so picking up a box or two of ammo when I see it keeps me in ample supply. Going to the range for me is more of a getting out of the house and in the woods thing as I use the National Forest ranges. Don't need to go to range to hone my skills and shoot up a lot of ammo after 32 years in LE.

Be safe out there.

Don’t shoot that much 9mm.
But I’ll take 2 boxes at $15.99 each.
Any standard caliber at anywhere close to a reasonable price is a deal.

I'm in the process of loading 500 rounds and have another 750 bullets on order (14 week est delivery). But I have more than sufficient to arm myself and several neighbors if needed.

It's coming from the manufacturers who have been producing at full capacity for months. 9mm has been available continuously for $.60 to $.70 on ammoseek. My LGS have had 9mm in stock every time I have visited for $30 to $35 per box. You can occasionally find "normal" priced stuff at the big box stores but they all have strict limits on quantity.

9mm is not hard to find, it's just expensive because demand has spiked.

Interesting practice from an LGS I used to frequent - this is a couple of months back as ammo prices were climbing weekly.
He had Winchester white box 9mm FMJ in a display pile with a large sign - '$19.95/box, Limit 2. More than 2 - additional boxes at $24.95.'

NEVER thought I'd see THIS.
Thankful I'm not currently in need.

I went to 5 gun shops today. Ohio's biggest gun store(probably) had 9mm for $27.99/box, and people were buying the **** out of it! I dont need it THAT bad! I did buy 5 boxes of Win 5.56 for $10.99/box at Bass Pro. Steep, but not totally ridiculous.

After Jan. 20 I suspect there will some sort of mandatory license to buy, background checks, high taxes, and anything else the idiots can make up. Can you tell I am frustrated?
