Any of you moon-clip guys buy .45GAP from GT distributers?
Ammo has got so scarce I ponied up and bought 1,000rnds of fmjfn and 500rnds of GDHP. I'm not sure I needed it as I have a lot of .45 HP which is 1mm shorter than .45acp to shoot in my moonclip guns. Any way did anyone else bite?

.45 GAP
I bought 100 rds with the idea that a coworker was complaining about her inability to find any. Her edc is a glock. I haven't given her the chance to buy it yet but if she does not want it I have a 625 and a 1917 that I could use it in. 200 grain GDHP for that price was a no brainer

Oh yeah, two cases of ball and 300 rounds of gold dot for my FHP Glock 37 also purchased from GT Dist. At just under $280 a case the ball ammo was a real no brainer. A thousand rounds of .45 Gap brass was over $200 shipped at Starline. I’ve seen small pistol primers for $209 a thousand recently, plus powder and bullets. Basically that ammo was cheaper than I could load it right now.
That G37 is a blast to shoot.

Use caution, GAP is loaded to higher pressure than ACP ammo.

I bought some of it as well for my 625-2. Not sure about shooting it in my 1950 and 1955 (both about 65 years old), but it will never see the cylinders of my S&W and Colt 1917's. The pressure is about 10% higher than standard 45acp ball ammo.

GAP in revolver
I tend to baby my 1917, so I will amend my thought to use in my 625 only.

I see no problems with S&W guns from the 50s and years ago I fired a lot of handloads in 1917s that I might not use today. I shot a lot of heavy .45swc loads with too much Unique through them and never had any problems. +P factory loads too. I musta got old.......
Got this one off Gun Broker and this one from a member in the classifieds ..V..........V.............V right side up...........

GT Distributors handled the Florida FDLE guns when they replaced the .45 GAP autos. I wonder what FDLE is shooting now.

Who is curious.
