Default Fort Scott ammunition

At our local Atwood’s ( farm and ranch supply) in the gun department, they had some limited ammo (one box per person) and I obtained one box of 10 mm, 124 gr., solid copper with a description of TUI, tumbling upon impact.

Looked on their website, just their advertising info.

Was wondering if any member has had experience with this 10 mm round or with brand.

Thank you for your kind attention.

Never heard of them. And I have bought more than a little 10mm over the years.

Nope - sorry never heard of them either. The current ammo crises has resulted in new ammo company's emerging. I doubt most will survive if and when things get back to normal.

I wonder how the new companies are getting components. A small new business is not going to be able to make their own powder and primers.

Found some reviews dating back to 2017. No technical information.

This is my first encounter as well.

They could have stashed millions away when the crises just began and components were still readily available at somewhat normal prices. They could be getting them from outside the Country. Canada seems to have tons of them!

Powder is not as hard to get and has not gone through the drastic price gouging that Primers have. Bullets - no problemo - you can get all you want at normal prices (basically).

I don't know that stashing a lot away when there's easy access (as in prior to covid) is a good business model. You have to store everything, and it cuts into your profits. Unless you had a crystal ball, you'd expect to be able to order more on schedule, as needed.

Canada seems to be drying up. I did a few searches on ammo, it appeared they have good prices, but then everything is out of stock. I think we (USA) just go through a lot more, and so the stocks depleted faster here. I previously thought otherwise, but consider the business model- if we're CCI's biggest market, you'd think they would send the bulk of new product here.

I ordered some specialty ammo from a small place, Steinel, back in November. 500 rds of 9x23 Largo. They filled half the order pretty quick; the other half is STILL pending. I contacted them not long ago and they said the delay is components. Offered a refund, but couldn't promise the price would stay the same when they started back again, so I kept it open.
