Can you 66rs advise me on the best .357 self defense round, the best .38 special, the best .38 special +P rounds for my gun? What ammo should I stay away from? Which ones are the best value (if I can find it ). Thanks for this great forum!

FBI loads. IE: 158 Grain Lead SWCHP +P.
It is loaded by Remington, Winchester, Federal and Buffalo Bore. Remington and BB are prefered in the shorter barrels, but with a 6" tube they should all perform well.

What are your thoughts on a choice for indoor range shooting. I bought some blazer brass .38 for $14.95 for 50 that seems pretty affordable for the range...I've yet to buy anything @ Wal Mart since it's a luck of the draw, but was told that they had .357 blazer brass 158 gr. JHP for $14.95, too. Does Wal Mart carry different ammo in different regions (live a few hours from Lewiston, ID where Speer/CCI is located)? What would you be looking for in practice rounds?

Find something with the same weight bullet as your defense load. Should shoot to the same point of aim.
You do have a nice indoor range right there in Post Falls, if memory serves. Had a lot of fun there with a rented MP5.

Center Sports - get off at exit 7, go north a bit (2 lights, I think), turn left, go about .5 mile, it's on the right.
