9mm Winchester 115mr Service Ammo
Have any of you used this ammo and if so, what results did you have. It, like most ammo, is still not yet available at what could be considered a reasonable cost.
I read the reports that I could find and I found no one expressing a problem with it's flat nose bullet I would appreciate any replies.

I shot some of it 2 or so years ago. It worked fine and I would buy more if the price was right. As you are probably aware, there are some videos about it on youtube.

I tend to look more for the 124 gr than 115 gr ammo in 9mm, but in these tight times if a batch of the lighter stuff came along at pre-panic prices, I would certainly grab it up. I’ve never encountered any Winchester CF ammo that I felt was less than satisfactory.

Sounds like the new M1152 military load. The photos of the Winchester Service grade 9mm seem to show a crimped primer.

There is lots of practice or target ammo made for the 9mm pistol that comes as a jacketed FN design
and it usually will fire and eject from most pistols, since it is designed somewhat like the JHP SD ammo that is on the market.
You just need to try out ANY ammo that you shot in your pistols to see if.......
the shape and fps will work for you.
If it does not work out for you, the next ammo that you try might be best with a FMJ RN design.
Good luck.

The M1152 is a hotter ammo.

I bought 2 cases of this stuff from Target Sports when they had it on sale for 9.99 a box.
I found that it shot fairly well out of my Browning High Powers and 9mm 1911's, Beretta 92fs and most recently my M&P 2.0 Compact. Accuracy from all these was 1.65" at 31ft, experienced no malfunctions at all.
Now, when I used 2 boxes in my M&P Shield 2.0 9mm, the accuracy moved to 2.34" at 31ft but dropped to under 1.60" at 31 when I went back to my 147 and 154gr fmj.

Yeah, if I could go back in time and buy a couple of thousand at a price of $9.99/box, I'd be on that like white on rice!

The largets metplat that I have shot was the Speer TMJ 147 plated bullet..........
that worked well in all my 9mm pistols but did need to be set at 1.13" OAL to work in my D&L's Kahr magazine.
I have not been able to find these Xtra large FN plated bullets to test in my pistols yet.
A lot depends on the weapon and magazine.

Check out the lot numbers on any Winchester 115 gr. ammo. They have a recall on it.

Just the other day I bought a 150 Round box.
I’ll shoot it in my Glock but haven’t yet.
Recall? Xxxxx I’ll check it!
Thanks for the reminder.

A long time ago before the very first panic and price hikes Dick's Sporting Good had a sale on Remington ammo by the case. (500 rounds) You had to buy the case to get the sale price. IIRC the 9mm was $4.29 a box of 50 FMJ. The 130gr FMJ .38 Special ammo was only $4.59 a box of 50 and the 230gr FMJ 45 Auto ammo was $4.99 a box of 50.
That's right, for $42.90, $45.90 and $49.90 I got 1,500 rounds of ammo. I still have all 3 cases stashed away for emergencies only. That was some hall for only under $140! Today what I paid for the 500 round case could be what we now pay for 1 box of 50. That is a 900% increase from about 13 years ago. I think it was just at the end of President Bush's administration but before the election. Now those were the days and really not that long ago... (900%, my goodness!)

In March of 2020 Cabela's was selling 9mm for 7.99 box... No tax in Mt. So I bought 70 boxes. I hardly shoot 9mm. Had one person offer me 40 dollars a box for 10 boxes...Didn't really want to sell but what the heck...Ended up with 3000 rounds for 160 dollars. Still have more than half left. And about 4 years ago I bought a load of ammo from an estate...mostly reloads which I sold for components. 3-4 months ago I was looking for something in the garage and found 1000 rounds of hollow point 9mm left from that mess. Thought they were reloads..Turned out to be factory Federals. Same fellow found out I had them...made me an offer of 40 a box so I sold them too. I may have had a dollar a box in them...maybe. I saw some 9mm Federals by the case for 17 a box locally. So it is getting back out there at least! Hunting season is upon us in Wy now and most is unobtanium. Sold a box of 7mm RM yesterday(don't have one)I got in the estate to a fellow in the pharmacy I seem to frequent way too much. He was down to 3 rounds left. He's a hunter not a dyed in the wool shooter. He's been looking for 7mm RM for 9 months and no dice. Still tough out there y'all
