Default Scam Alert

Like everybody else I've been looking for small pistol primers; with less than stellar results.
I did find a couple places in Canada and Australia that had them in stock at reasonable prices but neither ships to the US.
One place I checked with was Outstanding Munitions Buy Ammunition Online – best online ammunition shop Great prices but since they only offer unusual payment options like Bitcoin and such I was a bit leery.
So I sent them an email asking if they took PayPal to which they responded yes but only with the "Friends and Family" option. Their excuse was that PayPal flags all firearm related payments which according to PayPal is false. They will flag a payment if they can't verify that the seller is authorized to sell firearms; i.e: no registered FFL.
When I related this to whoever it was that I was communicating and told them I would pay them as a merchant so that my payment would be covered in case of non delivery they said that they were cancelling my order.
Anybody else had any dealing with them?

Do a Google search. Looks like a scam from what I can find.

Sounds fishy, like it was written by someone having English as a second language. What is a caliber product?

Paypal classifies Friends and Family as non-refundable. That's a known red-flag it's a scam.

I would not deal with a ammo or firearm company that wanted Paypal. That said Paypal will kill your account in a heart beat if they find you are paying for any gun related items.

PayPal lists firearms, certain firearm parts, and ammunition as restricted items but I've bought primers and reloading equipment such as dies before using PayPal with no problems.

In the number of emails I exchanged with whoever I was communicating with there were three different company addresses but no contact names or phone numbers. One address was in in Indiana, one in Florida, and another was in Montana.

Hopefully I won’t be chastised for saying this (a wee bit off-topic), but I have received primers twice in the last few months from Midway. You have to check their offerings and put your name on the waiting list. They were still $60-$70 per 1000 but not terrible. HAZMAT charge sucks but everyone else (legitimate) charges it too.

Why do people keep saying that? You donated to this gun forum through PayPal. You can get on ebay today and buy a couple of million magazines, grips, and gun parts using PayPal.

You cannot use Paypal to buy guns, ammo, or high-cap mags. That is about liability, not about being anti-gun. If I made $200,000,000 per quarter, I would not expose that wealth to liability by selling guns either.

I saw on Paypal's own complaint/comment forum, a couple people had accounts frozen and closed because they were selling parts (I believe it was foregrips and furniture such as that). Said it was not anything controlled, etc.

Given how reliant we've become on something such as Paypal (I've had my account probably 2 decades now), I would not risk jeopardizing it for any firearm-related purchase.

My solution has been several different credit cards- one is dedicated to Amazon, and another is saved in my google-pay account and does all other online purchases. Both are set up to send me a "you made a purchase" email, and I pay them off each month.

If you don't take those services, I don't need your product.
