Surprise! Look What I Found!
So, I am getting around to unpacking after our move. Some of my stuff has not seen the light of day for decades or more. Yesterday, I grabbed one of many heavy totes and opened it to sort the stuff into piles, keep or toss. Found six (6)!, boxes of 45 Auto Rim! Apparently factory. I have no idea when or where I got it. Fortunately, I have a few ACP revolvers to use it in.

A sure sign of having too much stuff, right? I’m guilty, also. I haven’t moved, but a couple of times in recent memory I have ordered something I needed, only to eventually bump into the same stuff in my disorganized collection of goodies and find I already had it. Most recently it was scope mounting bases and rings. Anyway, the .45 AR ammo you’ve found probably constitutes some sort of ammo mini-gold-mine, given today’s ammo prices.

One of the upsides to getting old ...
You long ago forgot what you put in that newly re-discovered tote box and when you open it ... Wah-Lah ...it's just like Christmas Morning !

Good for you. Moving does that.
I am wondering just what we will find later this year. Going to clean out the garage and attic when it gets cooler here. Supposed to 90 today. There are boxes in both places that were last packed in 1993. Wonder what treasures we will find.

Not quite to the point of hiding my own Easter basket, but I see what you mean.

I am “finding” all sorts of stuff that has been packed up for thirty years and longer. It is fun but sad also. I have bullet molds that have not poured a single cast. Revolver barrels that have never been fitted to a revolver. Elk antler waiting to be slabbed into revolver stocks. And a bit of rifle stuff also.
And more boxes!

Hang onto the empty cases if you don't handload. They're very desirable to some folks.

Rudy,
None of the stuff I am finding is new. Just hasn’t seen the light of day for a while!

I used to reload, a lot. Now that I have room to set up, I will again. I also found +/- 500 empty AR cases and more ACP.

I just discovered 6 tote boxes ... I know they have reloading and gun cleaning stuff in them . Stashed away 6 or seven years ago during a severe case of " Organizing & Cleaning " ... I got over it ...
At heart I'm a totally disorganized OCD Pack Rat that throws away nothing ... I still have 2 cans of Alcan #5 powder ?
I don't remember what's in them , it all came out of my reloading building ... Should I wait untill Christmas ... I could get my wife to wrap them and it would be a glorious Christmas morning !

Forgotten Shoe Box
I recently re-discovered a shoe box in
the back of the pantry.
Opened it up and found 20 count boxes and
holders of empty 270Win and 30-06Sprg
shells.
I’ve been taking my time preparing them for
reloading, when I need them.
I’ve renewed my interest in Rifles and have
shooting them since the Pandemic hit.

Being in LA..............
I would think checking the condition of any ammo is a must.

I've often said that "Organized people never make the exciting discoveries I do!"
I was trying to find my dies to load for my Civil War Maynard and stumbled across over 400 rounds of 44-40 (half od it virgin) and 200 rounds of brand new unprimed rounds of Starline 32 H&R brass.
