Default Buying Ammo On Line

Anyone here have experience ordering ammo from US Armorment? They're in Bensalem, PA. I got to them via AMMOSEEK and they have CCI Standard Velocity LR at a decent price.
Reading reviews was interesting because there were responses. Here's one to a fellow from Oregon who complained that they wouldn't ship to him:

We only ship to the USA. Portland is only part of the USA if you are a left wing, radical terrorist. This review exemplifies the Liberal entitlement attitude. We are not obligated to ship to any area we deem dangerous. We refuse to ship our products to areas where they may be used for illegal purposes and we have no way to prove or disprove this person's intentions. So to prevent liability issues we established the policy. We will not sell or ship to any area deemed to be unsafe due to protests such as Portland Oregon or within 50 miles of Portland Oregon. The same applies to any large city where protests are not peaceful, demanding de-funding police, and or it has a high rate of gun violence.

Anyway, I'd like to know if anyone here's bought from them.

George

I check Ammoseek almost daily and I have had several great experiences using several of their vendors, However, I also have had a couple really poor experiences with vendors listed there. When checking the vendor reviews, look at the dates and wording of the reviews. Be very leery when you see several reviews within a few minutes of each other and reviews are very generic and sound very similar. Also vendors that display a MAJOR attitude towards customers are a no go for me as for me that indicates how they will address any possible issues I might have. Vendors have a right to their own opinion but I also have a right to choose who I do business with. Paying a couple bucks more for a product to a vendor with a well established record of satisfied customers and taking care of their customers when a problem does occur, is money well spent.

You can order cci standard velocity directly from cci for $4.99 a box.it’s in stock but has a 10 box limit. If you order $99 shipping is free and fairly prompt. I have ordered twice and filled in my orders with mini-mag and velocitors to hit the $99 mark.
Not the prices we’re accustomed to but not bad for these days.

Default Worked well for me

I ordered a 50 rd box of 357 magnum by way of ammoseek because I could not find any locally. The vendor was The Castle Arms, and I received my ammo in exactly one week.
I like the graphic showing shipping cost, that is a major consideration.

I have never heard of them before but was rather curious since I don't live too far from their location . I checked out their website and feedback . The way they respond to customer reviews leaves much to be desired . I personally would look elsewhere .

These guys? I would think they're legit- they make 1903 Pocket Hammerlesses under license for Colt. I don't see ammo on their website, though. Doesn't sound like a professional response, though.

I’ve bought quite a bit from Vance Outdoors, CCI and Federal with no problems.

For buying ammo online I stick to 3 or 4 sources. The problem I have is IL requires I have a firearm owner id on record with whoever is selling and shipping to me, and even though I'm not in Chicago my zip code is close enough where it causes other problems.

On the US Armorment comment, I guess I would have replied that I need the ammo to defend myself against the people he was talking about.

Heard one is actually shipping to Ma. as long as they are sent a copy of your LTC or Firearms I.D. Similar to above comment concerning Il.

The one thing I would caution you, is to make sure your order is insured.

Ammo is expensive and in demand. It MUST have a distinct "hazardous" label on it, even if it's double-boxed. The UPS etc guys will quickly recognize what it likely is, given the size + weight + that label.

Does this sound cynical? Yes... but do some research, and you will discover a number of people who are complaining that their ammo order "got lost".

I am currently dealing with this... a case of 223 from K-Var. Price was solid, $309 + $9 shipping (discount 50% off shipping). Under $320 to the door;
I tracked my shipment from Las Vegas to Baton Rouge. 8 stops along the way, the package scanned in/out.

Shortly after arriving in Baton Rouge (my home city), there's a flag on it- "illegible label, unable to determine address" is what the tracker says. I inquire about this, since it's been scanning fine, including "IN" a few hours before.
Next day I get an email response saying the package is "most likely lost", and they provide the links for me to file an investigation. Still in progress.

I would never find that price locally, but this is also a PITA.

Added- I just gave UPS and K-Var a call. UPS is still investigating, K-Var doesn't know anything else. I have 8-10 business days to wait, before they pay the sender (K-Var), who then refunds me.

Infuriating, in that I have had issues getting UPS to deliver (but have eventually received) in the past. On a local forum, there have been discussions on such events, and someone stated that the manager confided that they (UPS) have "issues" with ammo right now.
Basically, the ammo is gold, the corporation pays for lost parcels, and it gets filed as "lost in transit" for purposes of expedition. It's unofficially acknowledged as theft, but too much of a hassle to pursue officially.

Sorry to hear scooby. Probably someone stole it like you suspect. Too much fraud and dishonesty.

They sound unprofessional. If they're truly concerned with their product being misused, there's a way to accomplish that without castigating everyone who lives there. I'd avoid them, too.

re Scooby - A LGS I am very familiar with says almost all of their ammo shipments come in with a mysterious tear in the side of the carton and missing a few individual boxes. They just let it go otherwise they'd be filing claims all day. Hope you're made whole.
