Light at end of ammo tunnel?
Also scored some 32 ACP and 380 and 38 Special and 6.5 Creedmoor
Have seen local stores receiving shipments of hard-to-find ammo recently.
Sells out in a couple days still, but something is better than nothing.
Also scored a couple 1 lb cans of H3450 and H4064 powder.
I'm seeing light at the end of the ammo tunnel

Sorry, but the light you see is the midnight express, headed our way to crush all our dreams and hopes. I WISH I was kidding but I don't think what we considered normal will ever return.

I went through a 7 yr drought in past years for powder and primers . I don't see any end in sight for the current shortage . I hope I"m wrong . With inflation raising it's ugly self , we don't know what the real new prices will be if supply became available . Regards Paul

I hope Lapua still keeps making 9 mm Luger. I want to put some of that through my L-35 Lahti and KP-31 Suomi.

I hate to say it but I truly feel since the Government can't take our guns they are making it extremely difficult to find ammo or components to make our own. This started 13 years ago and I can't see that light at the end of the tunnel. Normal means something very different now. It's just my opinion, not a conspiracy theory.

FDF uses Lapua 9mm ammo, so Lapua makes 9mm ammo
About 47-50*/50 psc

I agree. At the very least, the industry has seen what people are willing to pay, the the new normal will be a good 30% above what it was 2 years ago, at the very least.

I found 2 boxes of Remington 380acp 95 grain FMJ. $35.00 each
remington 9mm 115 grain FMJ is $18 a box.
It used to be $10 per box pre-pandemic
At least there is ammo again

I agree with the 13 year comment - we all know about the events that transpired since then, so I won't risk naming them all.
OTOH, late 2019, as my inventories started to get low, I bought a bunch of powder, primers, bullets, etc. The prices then were what I would consider "normal". In other words, not what I paid back in 1971, but adjusted for inflation, and I didn't complain.
In March, 2020 I was watching the 6:00 news and the guy said pandemic. The very next morning I went online and found components at my favorite supplier were on sale. OMG. An even in stock....
I bought as much as my social security check would allow. No beer for a month.....LOL.
To my surprise, within hours I had a tracking number and 3 days later it was in my locker.
Just for grins and giggles I checked the same web site 3 days later and EVERYTHING was outa stock.
Soooo, my contusion is that Covid started the problem, and the problem is us...

You have obviously never been to California if you need PROOF.
An ammo Permit is required.
No shipping to customers; all must go through FFL.
FFL required to take a thumb print.
No giving ammo away to family or friends.
Plus the dozens of comments for the last decade from Anti-2A groups about going for the ammo instead of the guns.
How about you prove it's not so.
