Picked up 400 rounds of .380 acp!
I really needed to replenish my .380acp stash and had some luck at the local flea markets in the last several weeks. I picked up 2 of the boxes on the left for $22 from the same guy, the Western box for $20 from another guy and then $60 for the box of 250 from another guy. All is clean factory ammo.
Oh, and I picked up the WW2 Australian made aluminum handled "see-through" knife as well for $45. When American troops were stationed down in Australia early in the war (42-43), many of the guys purchased these knives in the local economy for their personal use prior to shipping out and going into battle.

Smart! Always pick up ammo wherever you can. I made it through the previous 'crunch' in 2012 having picked clean the tables of individuals at shows beforehand. And if you take it ALL from one person's table, the price can be made to go down. I did, however, stay away from those folks re-selling the Walmart-boxed 9mm ammo.

I wish I could find some 32 Auto factory ammo at that price. I do reload for the 32 ACP but I could use the brass from the ammo...
That's not a bad price these days.

Gunprime.com. They have lots of ammo, admittedly at today's prices but they have lots of availability.

Different caliber, but I was fortunate enough to browse Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore online today, and came across "police trade-in" 45 acp. American Eagle and Speer Lawman, both $18 a box of 50. Description was ammo that was not used, or even opened by the department that traded them in. I picked up 8 boxes of each, with shipping and taxes it came out to 20 a box ($321.52 total).
Better price than I've seen Tula steel-cased recently at that caliber; and probably close to Academy's pre-covid prices for those brands.

Regardless of where ammo prices are up or down, I'm always looking for calibers that I shoot. I picked up an old Colt pistol in 38acp (not super) in early 2019 and then leisurely scouted gun stores, gun shows, antique stores and flea markets the remainder of that year for factory ammo. Found all this in 2019 just before COVID and before prices went bonkers. I paid $25 to as much as $50 (gulp) a box . I don't shoot that pistol much because of it's age and collectability so I figure I have a lifetime supply now.
There are always shooters out there who have retired from shooting or families trying to get rid of deceased family members ammo stash and I'm happy to grab it!

My nearest Farm King has had Browning .380ACP for $22.99 per box of 50 for a while now. I stopped yesterday and picked up another 10 boxes. It shoots well in my Bodyguard, but so does pretty much everything else. The going rate for .380 everywhere else around here is $30 per box. I've been stocking up on it because for a while .380 was impossible to find.

Ain’t got no Farm King.
We ain’t even got no Farm Queen.
