havent tried the 357 but a friend had some 40. Its dirty and the cases are hard to reload. That red gook on the primers is one problem.

The .357s aren't particularly warm. I like S&B in general, especially their blowback calibers.

Used lot's of it when it was cheap (SBA03571; 158 gr. JFP load). High quality reasonably clean & accurate mid-range load. 1167 fps (SD 9) in 4" GP100; 1059 fps (SD 22) in 2-1/4" SP101.

The FMJ I tried had steel jacket bullets with as copper wash. I passed on shooting them.

We've used plenty S&B .38 Spl FMJ's in our CCW classes. We also use plenty in .380 ACP, 9mm, and .45 ACP as well. I've also shot a few boxes of the .357 Mag over the past few months. Always has been very reliable and seems to be cleaner burning than a lot of the "cheaper" ammo out there.

Thanks to all of you for your opinions. Sometimes I am a bit leary of "off shore" ammo.

I am use to the big 3, Remington, Federal & Winchester, as well as CCI/Speer.

Best

Bob
