9mm polymer filled tip ammo for Sig P365
Carry permits arrived in New Jersey !!!
Hollow point bullets are not allowed in a carry weapon, but according to the New Jersey State Police website polymer filled tipped ammo, like Hornady Critical Defense, is not hollow point.
Anyone have experience with the Hornady Critical Defense 9mm ammo, or any other polymer filled 9mm ammo, in a Sig P365

Don't they know the polymer tipped ammo will blow your lungs out just as easy as a hollowpoint???
I shot a box of 20 through my P365 and they functioned just fine, but I haven't found anything yet that wouldn't work reliably in it.

I have found one that chokes my 365. Of course, it choked all my 9MMs including my Glock 17. Winchester USA Forged 115 gr. FMJ.

You may be right. I was thinking it was a 20 round box, I have some in 45 acp that's a 20 round box but it's been a while and I don't remember for sure on the 9mm.

I carry the Hornady FTX in 380, 9mm, and 40. The first two are Critical defense, the last is Critical Duty. They all function very well in multiple pistols. The ballistics are respectable in 9mm and 40. With 380 it looks like one of the better loads out there.
My only complaint is they don't sell the bullets alone in 0.355" or 0.400", so loading practice ammo with the same bullet isn't possible.
edit:
25 round boxes for 9x19 and 380 ACP, 20 round box for 40S&W.

When is someone going to challenge that dumb hollowpoint law? We need another lawsuit against it.

I “inherited” a box and a half of those. I got tired of them sitting around and shot them in my 365. I don’t buy ammunition in 20 or 25 round boxes as a matter of principle. They were fine. Unremarkable. My 365 seems to feed and eject just about anything that looks like a 9mm cartridge, and it is not finicky about ammo from an accuracy perspective. It usually surprises me with how accurate it is. I have yet to test it with cast bullets, just jacketed. I might get into that this winter.

I have an ammo-picky 1.0 Shield 9. However, polymer-filled tip Hornady Critical Duty 135g +P rounds have performed perfectly for me in my Shield. I have fired nearly 400 rounds of these without a single issue, so I can recommend them without reservation.
