Default Great customer service from FederalPremium

I finally got a box of bad ammunition - 22 LR bulk range pack. I emailed Federal about it and they took care of me without any hassles. I didn’t expect that but I do truly appreciate their reaching back to me very quickly.

Good to know.
I'm hooked on the consistent performance of their Personal Defense rounds.

High percentage of low-power and fail-to-fire mostly. Frankly, I was surprised a couple of times that a bullet was not stuck in the barrel. I didn’t expect perfection but l had no confidence in the shootability or safety of this particular lot of ammunition.

I mostly shoot Federal’s Automatch bulk ammo from Walmart and have never had these issues to the degree I saw in this particular range pack. Sure a failure-to-fire now and then but nothing approaching like what I was seeing in this particular range pack. If I saw 3-4 failure-to-fires in 325 rounds of Automatch that was about it, but with this range pack I had trouble shooting a couple of 10 round cylinders in my Model 617 without at least one of the a fore mentioned problems.

Before if I had ammo I didn't like I would simply give it away to someone, but this stuff was so bad I couldn't in clear conscience give it to anyone so I made sure to dispose of it instead.

Pretty much ALL American big brand ammo Company's take their possibly defective ammo VERY seriously! I've sent a few boxes to Remington and Winchester over the years and they have replaced it either in the form of a check or an actual replacement shipment. I have not had any issues yet with Federal, CCI or Buffalo Bore.

I never had a problem with Federal ammo so I can't say anything about their CS.

I did have a problem once long ago with Winchester ammo. I had one of those 500+ round 22lr boxes of either Xpert or Wildcat ammo. There was a recall and I applied to send the ammo back to them. They sent me a prepaid shipping label and I sent it back to them. (they said it was possible some of the ammo was overloaded) I think I bought it on sale for less than $10 but when I got the check it was for the full MSRP plus a little more. All I know is I was able to buy an entire case of their AA 12ga light target load shotshells with the check. That was the best outcome I ever had happen to me. A whole case of excellent shotgun ammo for an onsale bulk box of .22 lr ammo!

Same here, but a couple years ago. Bad bulk pack of Federal 22 with bad crimps and a box of 32 H&R with split cases. Emailed shipping labels for bad ammo and mailed me replacement. Great CS
