I hate to say it, but the other day I actually caught myself shutting the hell up to a guy when discussing where I get my ammo. My source gets shipments in twice a week, and I'm calling on each of those days and have usually been able to score at least a little of what I'm looking for.

Gad, I hate this. I feel like even though there's more shooters and CCW holders in the world, we're still being persecuted daily by the powers that be.

I would if I had a really good source. Not seeing any real good deals.

Central PA still has a good supply of ammo, if you really look. There are some "mom and pop" places that still have a bunch of stuff with older price tags. I have my own little secret place where I have been buying a lot of older 38 special for a very good price. I've gotten Federal +P LSWC and Federal Nyclad recently (I told you it was older stuff). As far as telling other people, luckily, only my father and one very good friend are as into guns as I am. I even pick up ammo for them when I find a decent stash. But, right now, it seems to be every man and woman for themselves.

Nope. This is rural Texas. The local "supermarket" has ammo for sale for cheap. Right up front and out where everyone can get it. Pick up a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread and a box of the supposedly illusive .380 ACP, pay the friendly checkers and go. Shelves stay stocked too.

I don't buy though because I hand load.

Quite the opposite.

In the past three months, I've given away more bullets than I myself have shot. Gave them to new reloaders who cannot find components after getting all pressed up.

We need strength in numbers, and should be helping anywhere we can.

My local True-Value Hardware has just about a full inventory of ammo. He is selling a lot, but is getting regular re-supply.

No give-away prices, but he has plenty of inventory, even 223, 45acp, 357 and 380
