Guys, it seems as though this caliber and ammunition seems to get "keystoned" by dealers and even online retailer too darn much.

I suppose that this is driven by a less than regular demand and the fact that it is considered a "premium" rimfire cartridge.

Is there any $6.00 a box stuff left anywhere, in any configuration?

About the cheapest I've found it is $8.99 for Fiocchi, but I want to try some before I buy a case.

The last time I saw .22 mags was the WW Dynapoint at Walmart @ $ 7.99 per bx 50.
This was about 3-4 weeks ago.

That Dynapoint at Wally World is the cheapest I've seen in the last year. The price increase on .22 Mag predates the latest round of hysteria, FWIW.

I recently bought a Marlin 57M 22 magnum levergun and re-entered the world of the 22 Magnum after a 30 year hiatus. The last I paid for 22 Magnum ammo was $2.95 a box in the late 70s.

Fast forward, and my local WalMart has it for $7.98 a box, and local dealers have it from $9 to $13 a box depending on make, bullet style, and degree of avarice.
