Black Hills Ammunition has also announced three new pistol loads in 9mm, .40S&W, and .45 ACP. The new defensive pistol ammunition utilizes the Barnes TAC-XP bullets. These bullets by Barnes Bullet Co. are made of pure copper with massive hollow cavities while still retaining profiles designed for flawless feeding. The bullets are designed for immediate and reliable expansion by virtue of preformed copper petals that fold back into a perfectly formed mushroom immediately upon impact. The bullets retain 100% of their weight and penetrate deeply, resulting in superior terminal performance.
