i received a 357 magnum round from a former Mississippi LE officer that he told me it was a block buster it was pointed (not like one i ever seen ) and i was wondering if you have eny info on this round he told me it was what the MS.HP cared . Thanks for the info
P.s i am in Europe and am missing my S&W 620 very .

That is it i have only 1.
so can i get a box and are they better then what you can find today ?

I remember growing up hearing how the .357 Mag could penetrate the engine block on a vehicle and disable it. I doubt if that happened very often.

The late Charlie Askins tested the various .357 metal piercing rounds back in the day. They could penetrate the water jacket of an engine block, wasn't a sure thing. "Busting the block" as in causing sufficient mechanical damage to stop the engine right there......not hardly.

The thin wall casting techniques and aluminum blocks around these days just might change things, but even the aluminum blocks have cast iron cylinder sleeves (the unlamented Vega excepted).
