Morning everyone, I see this brand of ammo on sale pages and really never heard of it. Any of you using it and what do you think of it?? Where is it made etc etc. I want to buy some bulk 38 and 357 loads to burn up while shooting and plinking, and oviously have some decent brass for reloading left over. Thanks for any input.

I have used it only in 9mm 147jhp never had any problems through M&P 9 or 3913 or ber. 92fs compact. It was all given to me by a friend who was moving. It is made in Italy.

Depending on the caliber, Fiocchi ammo is either made or imported in Southwest Missouri about 25 miles from where I live. I met Carlos Fiocchi nearly twenty years ago. He walked away from a family fortune to join Italian Special Forces and then helped develop the ammo company.

The ammo is know to be fairly hot and the brass good for reloading. My friends and I have shot thousand of rounds without problem.

I've shot a few boxes of their .38Spl FMJs. Accurate, consistent, good brass. I'd buy more.

I just purchased 5 boxes of 12 gauge #4 buckshot 2 3/4" from Midway.USA.com and blew some pretty good holes through 3 layers of 5/8" OSB board from 30 yards this weekend.

I'll buy more...good price compared to Remington on Midway's website.

I've shot it in most pistol calibers. It tends to be warm to hot. It is accurate and reliable. While not my first choice for defensive ammo, if the price was right, I would stockpile it for either range or SHTF use.

Apreciate the replys, heck I went to pick-up some rounds this weekend and the selves are pretty slim picking. So I checked some on line stores and found some at a reasonable price, but never heard of the stuff, I'll definitley pick some up and try it out. Thanks

I'm surprised that some of the members haven't mentioned that the S&W-branded ammo from the late 70s and through the 80s was actually made by Fiocchi (pron. fee-OH-key; in Italian, a double consonant is pronounced "hard," in this case, the "cc" is pronounced as a "k").

I've used the following Fiocchi ammo:

25 ACP
7.62x25 Tokarev
32 ACP
380 ACP
9x18
9x19
38 Special
357 Magnum
45 ACP

Most of the product was made in Italy, but some of the later 9x19 that I've bought was made in the USA. I have Fiocchi 45 ACP that was made in Italy, Hungary, and USA.

I've never had a problem with any Fiocchi ammo, but a few years ago they did a recall on 9x19 ammo, and posted the affected lot numbers on their web site.

Depends. I bought some .357 148gr. JHP, advertised velocity 1500fps., and was not impressed. It only ran about 1150fps. from my 4" Mountain Gun, and I had frequent misfires from overly hard (or thick) primers in both my 3" 65s, neither of which had ever failed to ignite anything else, including lots of CCI primers. Also, expansion in water was zero.

I've shot quite a bit of Fiocchi 9mm ball, always with satisfactory results as to both velocity and accuracy, and I've used their pheasant loads in 12 ga. to bust quite a few roosters over the years.

I've never run anything but their .38 Special stuff (158 FMJ), it struck me (w/o a chrono) as being between a 158 standard level loading, and a Blazer .38+P TMJ. That being their FBI load clone. Ran clean, was accurate.

I have used their 9mm and 45 ACP without any problem.

I'd like to, but every time I try to order some it is sold out. I'm thinking that says something.

Their .357 148gr was mild. I'll have to look up what it did over the chrono, but it was not the advertised 1500.

I love Fiocchi 9mm FMJ for practice ammo. Warm loads and clean shooting.

I've used .380Auto, 9mm and .40S&W; all with good results.

I've been shooting the 148gr SJHP in .38 Special. No failures, clean, accurate and seems hot. Hard to tell from a +P. I really like it. ezb

Yes, in both 9mm and .38 special. I also use
their 28ga. shotgun ammo.....it is all good,
reliable stuff.
