That is the ammo I use for range time,never had a problem.

Bought the last 11 boxes they had at my local WalMart yesterday. They got in 170 boxes on Thursday. Selling fast. They did have some Remington left and a few 250rd boxes of the UMC.

Another area WalMart had nothing left in 9x19 or 45ACP.

My local Walmart doesn't carry Blazer. However, once every blue moon,they get shipped some by mistake. Since they are not allowed to return it, they place it on clearance for $2.50/box. The guy behind the gun counter has my number and knows to call me whenever they get some.

I would buy all they had at $8,97. The cheapo 9mm here is going for over $10 a box at the discount sporting good stores.

I can't remember the last time I even saw 9mm ammo in Wal-Mart or Dick's around here.

Picked up 20 more boxes of Blazer 9x19 at Walmart Thursday after work. Didn't see any on the shleves but asked and they had it behind the counter. Still a good deal at $8.97.

They did have a few 100rd boxes of W-W for under $20 as well as W-W .45ACP and Blazer brass cased .40S&W and .45 ACP.

Don't worry. We'll be seeing purchase limits if not outright bans soon enough. Buying as much as you want or as much as they have will soon be a thing of the past.

In fact you might be seeing the bans sooner than the rest of us.

A pair of ammunition ban bills are up for hearing in the House Executive Committee this week. If enacted, either of these bills would effectively ban the purchase of ammunition in Illinois. The bills in question are HB 4269 sponsored by Rep. Monique Davis (D-Chicago), and HB 4349 sponsored by Rep. Naomi Jakobsson (D-Champaign).

Here is what passage of either of these bills would mean to you:
1. Ammunition manufacturers would be required to imprint a secret code on cartridge casings so that the purchaser of the ammunition could be identified.

2. When you purchase ammunition, that secret code would be registered to your name.

3. All your ammunition purchases would be registered with the Illinois State Police.

4. You would be responsible for all eternity for ammunition registered to you.

5. It would be in your best interest to destroy all expended ammunition casings because an unaccounted for empty casing could be used to frame you for a crime you did not commit.

6. You would have to surrender all unregistered ammunition you now own to the Illinois State Police.

7. Reloading would be banned.

8. The Illinois Department of Revenue would be authorized to place a tax on ammunition and raise that tax any time for any reason.

9. Taxes and increased manufacturing costs would raise the price of a box of .45 ammo to $200 or more.

10. Gun ownership would become too costly for most people.

Fair Lakes, VA WalMart had quite a few boxes of 9mm as of this morning. I don't own a 9mm though so I just bought .40.
