I visted a local gunshop in Tucson today, not a big box store and they had Speer 200 Gr, GDHP, 44 special priced at $32.95 for a box of 20.

I passed.

I haven't purchased any SD ammo in along time. I mostly reload however two weeks ago my Wife took a CCW class and the instructor insisted that everyone use factory ammo, or no Qualification.

So I purchased a 100 Ct 38 Special Hardball ammo (WWB) from Wally world at $29.00.

So the real question is: IS this 44. Special ammo priced to high?

That price sounds ridiculous to me.

.44 Special ammo seems to be in particularly short supply right now.

That seems kinda high for the 44 Special Speer Gold Dots. I would buy more of the Winchester 38 Special 130GR FMJ value packs at $29.00. Thats a very good buy at under $15.00 per box of 50!
