Is it cost effective to start reloading my own 9mm, or just as cheep to buy off the shelf? I have no relaoding eq at this time.

Depends largely upon what you think your time is worth. Over the long run, it'll pay-especially if you watch for components on sale. Roughly half the price of factory ammo is the case. If you're recycling the case, you're going to save money.

If you are going to only reload 9mm, the initial investment may not seem worth it, compared to the prices of WWB, etc.
I reload 9mm (as well as all my other calibers) and it has definately saved me lots of $$ over the years!! If it weren't for reloading, I could practice as much as I do!

Factory 9mm ammo is now, on average $10 a box, plus tax or shipping. If you own multiple 9mms or shot a lot, I'd say yes. I have never reloaded, but am thinking real hard about starting.

Money aside, reloading is very educational and therefore worthwhile for any guncrank to dabble in. I love reloading.

Your not necessarily going to save any money, but boy you get to shoot a heck of a lot more for the same money!
