Why is it that all the ammo auctions I look have 9mm ammo more expensive that I can buy at Walmart? My experience with auctions for other products is that they are cheaper than buying in a store.

Jeff:
My Walmart has no 9mm and has been sold out for 2 months. One of my buddies buys auction ammo online and has it shipped to me so his old lady won't know he is stocking up. He is paying way more than I would. Next weekend we are having a local gun show and I am looking forward to seeing what the locals will pay for it there.

Some people are buying whatever they can, when and where ever they can find it. My guess is that they feel an auction is the best thing for them if they can not find it locally.
I would look first at places such as Natchez,Ammoman,Wideners.

I've noticed the same thing. Even the shelves at some Bass Pro Shops and Gander M are bare (i.e., people paying full boat retail and then some).
