I went out this morning hoping to score some ammo at our local stores. My wife and I have cut way back on range time. I was fortunate enough to have a lot of ammo on hand when the drought struck but there is a reserve level of many calibers that I just won't go below. So for the 1st time in my life I ventured out to "Hunt for shooting ammo" My 1st stop was Dick's.. I almost didn't stop but it's right by our house so It was a quick in/out. To my surprise on the empty shelves sat a stack of PMC 115gr 9mm boxes of 50. They let me buy 3 and I called my wife and she got 3. $14.25 a box. So we are heading to the range later today
Walmart shelves were completely empty except for shotgun shells and the same with G. Mountan. This is ammo shortage is annoying/ maddening on several levels.
The Online Buying is how I bought most of my bulk ammo in the past... that is a joke. Right now it looks like the hitting the local stores on the right days is the only way to keep range ammo in stock.
