Default Monarch ammo

Academy Sports has an entire line of Monarch ammo; 9MM, .40 S&W, .223, and 7.62x39. Has any one used any of it? It's marked "Made in Russia" and labeled as steel cases. The price is reasonable; $9.99 for 50 9mm, $5.99 for 20/.223

Heard of, yes. Know the quality of, not so much. But these days I would at least try whatever I can get my hands on.

I've used their 38sp ammo, and it seemed better than wolf. It's OK for plinking.

I have not used the Monarch ammo with the steel cases, but I have used Monarch 9mm ammo with brass cases and they shot and functioned fine in my M&P9.

I had some in 40 S&W (before the shelves went empty). It shot good. Pretty sure the stuff I bought was either Serbian or Kroat. Those guys have been shooting each other for generations. I think that they have gotten good at ammo.

Monarch steel case is Barnaul of Russia--pretty good stuff. Monarch brass case is Prvi Partisan--also pretty good ammo. I've shot both with no problems whatsoever.
