Default .30 caliber in Court

Anyone familiar with the .30 Court round? It'll cycle through a M1 carbine but the case is a tad shorter.

"Court" is French for "short", and that's what it is, a short .30 Carbine round, probably made to get around prohibitions involving civilians using military ammunition.

This is a short discussion:

International Ammunition Association {cartridgecollectors.org} ~ View topic - about 30 court ammo

I wouldn't use it in a normal .30 Carbine - you'd be headspacing off the extractor.

Probably corrosive as well. There was a bunch of corrosive 30 carbine french stuff around at one time.

Typical French response; weak and corrosive. I don't know if you could make a cartridge obnoxious, but I bet the French could do it.

You could not even use that stuff up in a 30 blackhawk.

But look at the headstamp. Not French but German RWS. Specs and use might be of French orgin but not manufactuer of the ammo.
