Collectible ammunition identification source
I just inherited a bunch of old collectible ammo which originally came out of Jack Roys Gun Shop in Hamtramck Michigan. It has been sitting in a friend's basement since the late 70s.
I am looking for a possible web site where I can go and research some of these cartridges. Any help is appreciated.

rtgammo.com
that will give you some old ammo to look at as well as a good book on Winchester boxes.

Thanks Dan. Nice site and a lot of box information which I can also use.
I don't know if one like this exists but I'd like to find some sites that show the individual headstamps and dimensions of the rounds.

Break out Cartridges of the World and your dial caliper. I'm sure you can ID most of what's there. The tables at the back of each chapter are most helpful.

This site may be useful.
PISTOL CARTRIDGE LISTS
There are rifle cartridge dimensions available from this page, as well.
