My son is in Afghanistan and we talk everyday on SKYPE. He showed me a camel bone carving he got for me. I asked him if he can get me two slabs big enough for gun grips. They have a bizarre on the base every 2 weeks and he'll ask the Afghans. I was thinking of a Colt SAA but would like them instead on a 24-3 I got the same year he was born. Seems appropriate. Someone showed me a nice pair they made on the Colt forum. Any one here have grips of this material? BTW. My son's a private contractor discarged from the Marines about four years ago. He's "says" he's safe there but it's very scary for us. They had a RPG attack just last week.

Our wishes and prayers are with him!
The Camel bone grips were on Ebay not too long ago, And I believe the ones there were dyed some color,,,
But looked nice all the same.
I would go for it!
