I don't know anything about the manufacturer, but looking at similar products offered by other companies, $200 for a rail mounted laser sight is a good price. For duty use for such a sight to automatically come on when the weapon was drawn would be an advantage to the officer since he/she would have one less thing to think about in what would already be a demanding high stress situation. Sincerely. brucev.

+1 but for it's price I worry about reliability

It machined out of Delrin instead of Aluminum which might be part of it. (just guessing) I know delrin is cheaper and I have used it some and this is some tough stuff. Drilling it and trying to put screws through it are hard as hell but I have to imagine it machines easier than aluminum and I know it requires less clean up after CNC. I would worry about the switch potentially and I wish they had more information but then I guess it could be copied. Magnetic switches I have used are incredibly simple and its simplicity means I have never seen one fail. I also liked the way it blended with the Sigma frame!

All that said and done .. I cant see the expenditure on my CCW because I dont think you can see laser during the day but as a evening night piece. Like when I walk my dogs after dinner ... maybe

I've got the manual laser portion of that package for my 40VE. It's actually only $70. I don't want to beat Tony out of his money, but if you're not carrying it on a duty gun, the manual laser by itself is all you need. The thing fits/blends on the rail of the Sigma perfectly. The manual rocker switch is right at your trigger finger tip, outside the guard. The thing is great at night and makes a lot of sence on a house gun. In bright light, like any other red laser, it's got a limited viewing range. But even in bright light, 7-15 yrds it's plenty visable. The gun hits where the red dot is. And it stays sighted in - at least for the 250 rnds I've shot since I got the sight. Also, battery change does not require re-aiming.
Tony's right there for any questions or problems and ready to deal with both.
As a side issue, I'd like to see Hi-Viz or someone make fiber optic sights for the Sigma's. They haven't woken up to the fact it's S&W's best seller these days.

did you buy the holster that lets the gun ride with the laser on it but doesn't have the magnetic option or is this gun strictly house. I was just wondering how wll the holsters were made and did it jiggle or restrict draw.

Nope, no holster yet.
I just wanted a better sight for my old eyes. Since I couldn't find a fiber optic type, and didn't want a night sight I got the TDR-911. I couldn't find any lasers to compare price wise. The gun's still new so it's strictly range and house for a while. I've got others that I've had more experience with for carry.
I will be searching for holsters soon though. And I'm wondering what's going to work myself.
When attached the laser is wider than the slide, but the same width as the poly frame. It sits back about 1/8 in from the front of the rail and extends back to the trigger guard. It extends down about 1/2 in or about 1/2 way down the trigger guard. I'll attach a couple of pics.

I think they look great for the price. Crimson trace probably will never make them for a Sigma because most of us Sigma owners are cheap SOB's!:D

That really is a nice design. With respect to appearance, I have not seen a laser sight on a sigma that looked any better than that one.

How is that adjusted? Is it easy to adjust? Does it "hold" where it is set?

It's adjusted by opposing screws - let one out, turn the other one in. That helps keep it where you set it. This one needed a bit of adjustment for windage at first. Elevation was dead on. No big deal. The main thing is you can take it off either to replace the battery or whatever and not have to re-zero. So far it's been totally constant with no change in zero. The sight and the gun are both fairly new but I'm happy with it.

Thanks Pete for answering his questions.
My pleasure Tony. I wasn't sure whether you came on the site or not. But I'm a well satisfied customer and don't mind sharing what I consider my good fortune.
I added to the other post and really would like someone to come up with a fiber to compliment the laser.

I picked up a TDR-911 for my 40ve, it has a good compact fit and a fair price. The only downside is now I cant fit it in my Kholster, but the lasers are best for home defense anyway.
You would think there would be more accessories for the simga - since we got glock money to spend after purchase. lol.

Mine's still just for range and house. I like the Kholsters. It's too bad they won't take the laser. With the laser on in the dark, you might as well be shooting a garden hose. And in the dark it does provide some illumination as well.
