I was forutnate to pick up a Model 10-5 pencil barrel today. When I purchased it, I didn't think it was as old as it is (1973-1974). This is easily a 95% gun as far as lock up and finish. It came equipped with a set of Crimson Trace laser grips. I will sell these and try to find a set of SB magnas. This has the pinned, 4 inch barrel. Any guesses at to value?

Well you didn't give the barrel length but based on the condition you describe and not taking into consideration the value of the laser grips I'd say $250 to $300 depending on where you live. The gun market is soft right now when compared to the post election surge and prices have dropped from there highs and guns are not selling all that well.

Otis,

If that was a Scheels(Sioux Falls) purchase, I have
looked that over myself.
It is conservatively 95% as you said.

I have 3 fixed sighted Rugers, or I would
have tried dealing on that 10-5 myself.

They wouldn't deal on the price, but I figured it was a pretty good deal as was. When Scheel's does get used guns in, their prices seem to be a lot better than what you see at Cabela's. I plan to pick up some Magna grips for this revolver and keep it. It will replace my Model 15-3 nickel that I plan to sell. The Model 15 is a great gun, but I am partial to fixed sight revolvers.
