It's been some time since I've added to the S&W revolver collection so I brought this little sweetheart home from the LGS tonight.

It's a 70's era Model 65-3. It's my first stainless and my first 3" .357. I'm quite impressed.

Congratulations.

One of the handiest revolvers made. Either the M65 or M13 with the 3 inch barrel. I have a M13 and suspect I will someday buy a M65 as well.

The 65-3 is an 80's vintage revolver and was introduced in 1982 right after they dropped the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder chambers. This is a great handgun and I love stainless S&W revolvers.

I have a three inch 65 set up just like yours and it's one of my favorite carry guns. It's a delight to shoot and is very rugged. Congratulations, shoot the heck out of

Congratulations! I think the 3" Model 65 (and Model 13) are some of the handiest revolvers going. I hope you like yours as well as I do mine. Nice pics, too!

Awesome revolvers. This my 10-8 3". It started as a 4" RB that I bought at the LAPD Academy store. I took it to the Armory where it was converted to DAO, trigger face polished and had the action tuned. Harry Davis at the Armory replaced the barrel with a new 3". It became my off-duty revolver long after I carried semi autos for duty.

Not bad, but not great... a lot depends on what part of the country you're in. In CA it would be a great price, in nice shape.

As a plainclothes LEO, my snubbie DS was swapped out for a 3" 65-3. I have a copy of it (without the police markings) residing in the safe - great shooting gun.
