I just picked up another value pack of Federal 22, and the cost went up $3.50 since last week. Now it's $18.97. Last week, $15.47. That's a pretty big jump.
If you see some cheaper elsewhere, ya better grab it.

yea, it jumped up to $19. at my Wally too. I buy some every time I go there; I believe in staying stocked up on ammo for all calibers that I own guns for, since you never know when it will be available and when it will be needed... I did a quick count last night, and I have over 11k rounds of .22lr so I can get by for quite a while if I stop buying, but somehow I doubt prices will come back down, so yea, I'll keep buying, but at a slower rate. I guess I need to buy more .38, .357, 9mm, .40, .20ga & .12ga.

i havent checked in a few months, but thats about right...The Federal bulk is my fav aswell.

Yeah, I have stocking up for some time too.
I'm on a box right now that is priced $9 and something.
Been hoarding for awhile. lol

I just bought a box too of the Federal 550 value pack $18.97. I grabbed it, being the last one on the shelf !! I wish I knew when they had their stock coming in. All the stock boy could tell me is it's hit and miss when they get the ammo in.

Went and checked today. $18.97 and out of stock. Still had the Federal 333 Semi Box in stock. Also had a few boxes of Federal Lightning .40 grains for $1.47 a box. I hadn't read anyone mention those. Picked up a 3 boxes to try out.

I went to the Gun Show yesterday and ALL of the bulk 22 ammo was $25 a box. It was rediculous and needless to say, I didnt get any. But walmart here has FedBulk for $18.97 as well

Walmart out here too but wholesale sports (formerly Sportsmans Warehouse), had 2 crates (100,000 rds) of fed 525 sitting out in an aisle for $16/box 3 weeks ago. Now it's $18/box and half the stock gone. Walmart used to sell win .40 100 rd boxes for $16 this time last year, now it's $28. This is the gun control we need to be worried about. Raising the cost of operating/obtaining firearms is the only way gun control advicates can make an impression, and they're finding it out slowly but surely.

Same hear in So Cal. They rarely ever have the Fed Bulk packs, let alone any .22lr, but to my surprise, yesterday, they had them! I could really only afford to buy 1 box, but still, at $18.97, that IS the cheapest around.

They are 18.97 here in Southern WI at my closest store, haven't looked at the Madison store. Here they've been that price for a while now. When I went in last week I noticed that they have also started carrying the 555 boxes of Winchester Super-X for about a dollar more.

They had a good stock of ammo when I went in... at least 10 boxes of Federal were left and probably 15+ bulk boxes of the Winchester and Remington along with various single boxes of CCI and Remington. I'm happy to see them expanding their selection just so long as they don't ditch the Federal Bulk!!

Its market forces in action, pure and simple supply and demand. Want the price to some down, get everyone to stop buying it. The shelves will over flow with ammo and the price will fall.

I am just a guilty for buying extra also. A year ago I walked out with six two fifty value packs. I felt kinda dirty after that. Lately however I have been saying, I will leave some for the other guy.

If we could establish an unwritten rule that you only buy half of whats on the shelf and leave the rest, I feel it would help. Also dont buy the obvious Walmart stuff at gun shows or other stores. It just creates the market for abuse.

DITTO in central Ohio. The Wally prices jumped within the last 3 weeks from $15.47, to $18.99. This IS quite a jump percentage wise. Still cheap, though.

$23.99 in Alaska, when they have it in stock which is hardly ever.

Thanks for the hope and change.

So does anyone else's Wally have the Federal Lightning or has anyone used it before? I went back and picked up a brick today for $14.97
