Hi. I just wanted to share some photos of my 6 inch nickel 27-2 and my 4 inch blue 28-2.

Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have to part with one of them because I'm going through a divorce... California community property laws. What sucks is that my soon-to-be ex-wife doesn't even care about having one of the guns, she just wants the cash. Oh well, such is life.

Anyways, while I still own both guns, I thought I would post some pics.

Regards,
James

Sorry about the divorce. They are both nice looking guns. Have yo decided which one to keep?

Both guns look great. Sorry to hear that you're going to sell one of them, but you can probably get another one later on.

Thanks. I'm really torn about it. Both guns have things about them that I really like. It's most likely that I will retain the 28-2 and let go of the 27-2. I've owned the 28-2 longer so I'm a bit more attached to it.

James ,I truly feel your pain.

After my father died ,his wife claimed 'community property law'
regarding my fathers life insurance policy.

My $22,500. inheritance became $8,000.

My advice would be not to get married in California.
Hell ,why would anyone want to live in California any longer.
I know,, how beautiful it is in places, especially up north.

Good luck with the sale.
I would sell the model 28 to a fellow forum member for $25.
and give the proceeds to your wife.
We here on the forum will back you up. Gun values have dropped
drastically in the past months!

Regards , Allen Frame

I would be willing to buy it for $25.......and, in say 6 months or so sell it for $25 to some deserving fellow who had one but lost it from divorce....:)

Great looking Photo's and indeed a sad story. There is no rhyme or reason for the antics that go on when a divorce happens.

I've been there and done that. That's why I am replacing some of my favorites.

I'll take the blue 28 if it comes to that. PM me with specifics.

Hang in there, life does get better eventually.

Sounds like life might get better immediately..

Nice guns. Sorry to hear about the divorce. It could have been worse. I was an FFL during my '92 divorce. Her attorney in "discovery", discovered that I should pay half the value of all the guns that went through my bound book during the marriage. Judge agreed. Made a dandy down payment on a 4/2.5 in a very nice neighborhood. Joe

Mr. Bizguy. Sir I am sorry for your impending DIE-VORCE. I did one some years ago. I had 10 pre 64's most were super grades, 8 Parker shotguns, 6 AH Fox shotguns, A Westly Richards side by side, a Cogswell and Harrison 375, Brownings and some others. My kids wanted to stay with me, actually all of us die-vorced her. The sleeping partner of snakes world wide kept bleeding be for money which was locked up by court order, until I sold every gun I had to keep the kids where they wanted to be, I never regretted that but hold a little angst towards the legal guy that held the leaches to my jugular, of course he was nice enough to put it in writing that I did sold them and gave him the money so she got 1/2 of nothing. Sell the gun to a friend, give her the money, when the dust settles a real friend will sell it back to you.
