The rear sight screw on my new-to-me 2206 continually loosened so I put some fingernail polish on the screw to hold it in place. 25 rounds later, the screw sheared off, leaving the shank in the hole.

Any suggestions how to remove the shank? It's about 1/16" dia.

Any suggestions how to remount the rear sight? I'd think that a larger dia. screw would help. If the screw hole is drilled & tapped for a larger screw, that would take care of removing the shank & should hold better. Anyone know who does this kind of work?

Thanks!

Sound like you might have to drill and tap it. There are such things as easy-outs but 1/16 is pretty small. I may be wrong but I don't think they make a easy-out any smaller than that. Check with your local gunsmith.
