JUST WANTED TO SEE IF SOMEONE MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP WITH THE VALUE OF A S&W 38 < NOT THE 38 SPECIAL > IT IS THE V MODEL BY THE S.N. IT WAS MADE IN 1943 AND WAS SENT TO ENGLAND IT IS NICKEL PLATED AND IT LOOKS ALMOST NEW THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE

You are in the wrong forum. This needs to be in the 1896-1961 forum. The fact that the gun has been nickle plated seriously detracts from it's value. I would hazard a guess that it is worth no more than $200 as a shooter. The .38 S&W chambering doesn't help any. Many Victory models have been rechambered to .38 Spec., but due to differences in bore diameter, this isn't a very good thing either.
