I have a home defense handgun, actually 2 and having a hard time deciding on what sights to install. I really like the Dawson sights and especially their new Charger sight. It allows you to rack the firearm on a shoe or table, and because my wife has arthritis I think this could be a great option for her if she has trouble racking the slide. the dilemma comes in when I try to decide what configuration. Tritium front and rear? Black rear and tritium front? Crazy and don't have the experience to decide. Any ideas from someone that knows? Thanks...

Tritium front and rear? Black rear and tritium front?

A lot of this really comes down to personal preference. Having said that, on both of my M&Ps I am partial to the Ameriglo ProGlo orange/tritium front paired with their Pro Operator tritium rear (which also allows one to rack the slide using the rear sight).

The things I like about this setup are that, first and foremost, the front sight is very easy to pick up and, secondly, that the tritium vials on the rear sight have black outlines rather than the usual white which lends itself to be less distracting in normal light - I find the standard three dot setup too busy to pick up quickly, especially under stress.

Just my two cents ... oh, and nice nick ;-)
