Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
I received this today on the Gunsamerica blog.
YouTube - The Slide Fire SSAR-15 Bump Fire Device - GunsAmerica Blog

It is absolutely criminal. Breaking all the laws of averages. With all the rounds he put down range (hopefully down range), he should have hit SOMETHING. If only by accident. He does seem quite content to hit the ground now and then.
This product does serve its intended purpose. It disassembles ammo at a high rate of speed. On another video on this "Weapon System" they demonstrate its accuracy, at 5 yards.
If we can get the bad guys to use these, I can take on 10 at a time with my Rolling Block and Bowie Knife.

wow .... I'd really like to think that's the first time the fella has ever handled a firearm. Like it was stated earlier ... I'm shocked he hit the ground.

Idiots like that are the reason the anti's can point and say "See, this is why we need laws!"
What I really want to see is an older range instructor walk up, take the gun away, and give him a dose of encouragement with a swift kick in the backside. It will only give him a headache since that appears to be where his brains are.

Read the post-seems like the last guy who invented a slam fire device alwo had an okie-dokey letter from the ATF and then they changed their minds a few months later and got hold of the customer list and contacted everyone who bought one and made them de activate the things and send in the springs. If I ever feel the need for full auto-which I don't anticipate happening as I can't afford the ammo-I'm gonna do it the right way and get my stamp . Right or wrong I don't relish spending my golden years being someones wife.

Folks, a reminder. Just because a bullet hits the ground does not mean it stops. At that angle, there is no telling where or how far it will go.

Just think, if the Libyan rebels had that, they could shoot big time into the air while celebrating, Oh, hey U.S.A. we need more boolitz.

Somewhere, sometime I had an original 'HellFire' device, it took some manipulation but would dump a magazine of 7.62x39 in about 3 seconds. That was when it was dirt cheap and seemed it would never run out. After awhile I came to the realization that it was like driving a top fuel dragster with no sterring wheel, it ran like hell but you had no idea where you where ending up.
ClassIII, your comment made me laugh and remember one of the critical 'learning' experiences with my Son. We had been at the range and he ran a couple mag's thru my PolyTech, set the gun down against the bench, grabbed another mag and before I could say 'Hey!' grabbed the barrel to pick up the rifle.
Wow, was he surprised!
It is so hard to keep a straight face while feeling sorry for someone, but trying to explain the concept of caution and patience. Every time I think of that I remember the 'whale eyed' look on his face as he jumped around.
To have a video of that I'd give a fortune.

JUNK

I have a friend who saw the video and had to have one. I tried to talk him out of it but he got it any way. Since I had "built" his AR, he brought it to me to install. I was not impressed at all by this piece of plastic. While it was easy to put together, I just could not see any use for this other than wasting ammo. To use this thing you have to pull the butt stock into your shoulder with one hand using the pistol grip, at the same time you have to push the hand guard away from you using the other while you are firing. Simple right. IT appears that you will have to waste about 500 rounds to master the correct technique and make it dump a whole mag without jamming. And everyone is correct about not being able to hit anything down range with it, well maybe by accident. This is just a toy and a waste of money and time.
