Here's my experience. I'd fired Aquila in a few calibers with great success. Then, last year, I saw what I thought was a good deal on 230gr. fmj from a seller at a gun show. The seller had a large booth with numerous displays of brand name ammo.
I took a box to the range intending to fire it from my Model 625. The first cylinder I fired, there seemed to be a huge disparity in noise and recoil with each round that I fired. Ejecting the spent cases was extremely difficult, I eventually had to use a wooden dowel and a mallet to pound them out of the chambers. Several of the spent cases were noticeably bulged and one of them was split.
I'm not a reloader but I have a friend who is and I gave him all of the ammo with the warning not to fire any of it. He pulled a few rounds and weighed the powder charges. He told me that the powder charges in the rounds varied from about 2 grains to over 11 grains of powder.
Now, there are several possible explanations for this. One possibility is that the gun show dealer was packaging obviously badly made reloads in Aguila boxes and fobbing them off on the general public as factory ammo. I'd certainly not be surprised if that was the truth. Another possibility is that I purchased a bad box of the stuff, perhaps due to some real quality control botchup at Aguila. I'll never know, of course, and as I've said, I've had good experience with Aguila in the past.
