My new 67 is coming soon and I want to get a range box that locks. Only need one large enough for a gun or two, eyes, ears, ammo and the basics. Lookng at different sites online and can't seem to find one I like. What are you guys using? Thanks. Bud

I have a Sig range bag that doesn't lock and it is way to big for one gun and the things you are talking about. Do you need to by law have a lockable range bag where you live to transport a firearm ? For years when I first started shooting I just had a Gym Bag and it held the things you mentioned. When I'm at the range my range bag never leaves me so I don't need a lock.

When I got home I could if I wanted to lock the revolver or revolvers in my Gun Safe. If you need a small gun safe I'm sure other members can make recommendations.

When I bought a 1/2 case of ammo from Cabella's it came with a "dry box." It's basically an oversized plastic ammo can with a locking tab.

It's plenty big enough for you needs IMO. I keep eyes, ears, holster, pens, tape, etc. in it ans still have room left over.

I don't know if they sell it as an individual item, but they probably do.

I use plastic tool boxes. They're available in all sizes and have the ability to "lock" although it wouldn't take much to get one open.

Don't think I need a locking one to transfer in the car here, but I would feel better if it did lock for some reason. First gun so want to be careful. I like the idea of the hard box vs. bag also. Something tough for indoor and outdoor, and still maybe tether with a cable for home safety/security.
