64-2 2 inch price check

One day after putting money down on a nice 60-3, I see a S&W 64-2 w/2inch barrel for $369. It hasn't got the box, and has some awful aftermarket grips. But I hardly ever see any of these. The gun is in nice shape. I went there intending to buy it, but got a nice Sig 226 in 9mm instead. Which may have been stupid.

Hmmm. All the guns you mention are well worth having, so choosing between them would be hard for me. The 64-2 2 inch price sounds resonable, if it is in as good a shape as you say. The great thing about round butt K frames is that there are so many grip choices to replace the "awful aftermarket grips" you say it now has; factory combats, bananas, and standard grips, no to mention fancy wood grips from custom makers.
