Im trying to find holsters for a PC 4566CQB and 4563CQB.
Im also looking for an ankle holster for a PC Shorty 45.
Appreciate any companies that can be recommended.
Try any standard holster for the regular 4566/1066. They will a 1/4" more for the slide and barrel, but it is hardly noticeable. Look around eBay and GunBroker for good deals.
Oh I agree that Tim at TT has amazing leather but he doesn't list the 4566 or 4513/4516. I am sure he can work with the 4506 mold and shorten the length. Tim made me a mag holder for my Shorty 45 but I actually sent him the empty magazine to mold it for me. I have ordered holsters from FIST and Kramer for my Shorty 45. FIST is the only ones able to make Kydex holsters for the Shorty 45 that I know of.
What I had to do was get Tim a blank from Duncan's Customs in Michigan to make a holster for my 6906. If you want a holster quickly this is definitely not the way to go. Tim has a 16-18 week backlog right now.
Maybe he could work with the 4506, I don't know. I can tell you that when he makes a holster for a pistol it *fits* that pistol.
Regarding this post and a few that follow it- I think Tim's wait is a lot quicker now and also he may have some new blanks.
He told me he had a blank for my 4014 and had been wanting to make one for some time and was going to "rush" it. He cut out the leather only a week or so after we confirmed what I wanted.
Tim said that he wants to make more 3rd gen holsters. I'd give Tim a call and check it out for your particular gun - that's a lot better than speculating or going on what the wait times used to be. With the economy the way it's been (in spite of what Obama and Geithner will tell you.....) people aren't spending as much as the once did. That probably translates to folks keeping their old holsters longer.
