New guy here. First post, so bear with me. I have a NIB S&W 25 that is marked on the barrel "Gun of 1989." Can anybody tell me anything about it ? Thanks.

Does it look like either of these ? If so it is a Model 25-7 or 25-9 and we can go from there.

The first one.....with the Hogue grip. It's marked as a 25-7. I should have mentioned that. Sorry. Any help you can give would be great.

Be aware that that revolver is chambered for .45 Colt, not the more common .45 ACP.

S&W has been building model 25's since before dirt, but Man, that thing looks like the BladeRunner carries it. Guess I'm used to looking at the older 25's.
Where'd you come across this one? $750 (?) roughly. Got the original box and papers? Add 100 bucks....... H.

Bought it new in 1989...never fired it. Placed it in the safe. Took it every now and again to wipe it down. Just never knew a lot about it. Thanks for the info everybody.
