28-2 value?

Hi Folks, I have a chance to pickup a nice 28-2, 4" blued. Any idea of the price range of this Smith? It is tight and the blueing is good. Has grips like came on a 29, not the correct grips for a 28.

Any input is appreciated.

This is in 95+% condition, I have original grips. 4 months ago I bought it at a gun show for $465
 
More info or a picture would help
does it have targets ? diamond targets? cokes?
is it an S serial numbered gun or an N
There are a lot of things that can really affect the answer
a general amount 450 plus or minus

If you can find a decent one with a four inch barrel for less than $500, grab it.
 
Same here fyimo. I did see one 4" in our local pawn shop in 80% condition last month and the guy was asking $425.00 for it, even with the rusty spots, lots of blue loss and sorry looking grips. Tried talking him down to $350.00, which I thought was $50.00 too high but he wouldn't budge. He did offer me $50.00 off on any Block and he had a butt load on them. Needless to say I did not take him up on the offer as I don't own plastic weapons and never will! I also will never be giving him anymore business after spending about 2k in his store.

Have a 3.5" 27 but gotta get around to buying a 4" 28. All business looking like my model 58.

In FL I would say probably around $500 depending on condition and the kind of grips that are on it at the moment.
FWIW I have seen one that was like new remain unsold a few months ago at $600 asking price with target grips and no box.

May be the same 28-2 that I looked at this afternoon? Priced @ $459 It looked pretty good,I recently purchased a Model 17 so My gun funds are depleted for a little while.
 
Here in the north central its over 500.00 for anything with adjustable sights in good condition
