Full nite sites for the SD9?

Regular M&P rear night sights will fit - you can get them from all the standard suppliers -- and from S&W's web store.

Warren Tactical sights are excellent, and are regulated with the standard sight post in the front. Warren Tactical Sights come with or without night sight dots. I have the plain ones and love them (I'm not into night sights -- if it is so dark I can't see, I probably shouldn't be shooting at anything).

There is a video on YouTube from Apex Tactical which tells you which way to take out the rear sight on the M&P -- it is the same for the SD, only there is nothing underneath the sight on the SD -- the slot is tapered, so the sights tap out nicely in one direction, but not the other! You can use a small piece of wood (dowel) and a hammer to knock them out -- as long as you are knocking them in the right direction. Obviously, the new ones go in from the side they old ones came out of. You can use the lightest level of Loc-Tite to set the hex screw permanently, after you re-adjust them form a good aim.

Good luck -- the SD is a great pistol!

Thanks Rover!!!! i was fairly sure the M&P would work as i remembered reading it on another thread here but even after doing a search couldn't find the thread :( i love my SD9 i use it as my carry in low light since it has the front sight that glows i was just curiouse to see how much it would run me to get the backs to work that way as well but if it's to much it wont bother me one bit to leave it just the way it is lol once again thank you!

For range practice, I really enjoy the plain Warren Tactical Sevigny sights -- slightly bigger "U" notch and sculpted edges make sight acquisition faster. I happen to know what they cost, since I just ordered one from Brownell's for my new M&P40c -- $38.00. You can also replace the front sight with the Warren Tactical sight post -- shaped a little differently, with small notches or steps that make it easier to see -- but I'm okay with the S&W original post.

The M&P night sight is $120 at Midway and $123 at Brownells.

You can see why I like the Warren Tacticals (plain). Perceived improvement, modest cost. But they are not night sights.

See the problem is solved, just wanted to vent for a quick second- I want better sights on my SD- and another semi- but there are SO DOGGONED MANY to choose from. Big Dots, tritium with the white dots, green, little white dots with cherries on top....
