The powders I have on hand are Tightgroup, AA# 2, AA# 7 and WIN 231, I'm looking for the most accurate load just for shooting groups at 15-25yds. The pistol is a S&W M&P 40 full size with a KKM Precision 40-9mm conversion barrel. I tried 4.0grs. of Tightgroup with an OAL of 1.120" with fair results any other suggestions of loads using the powders I have on hand would be great! Or, suggestions of powders I don't have that have been known to produce good accuracy using the bullets I have. Seems I read somewhere that the load data for Speer Bullets worked well with the Precision Delta bullets? Thanks! :)

I've been looking at getting some PD bullets also. Has anyone tested the JHPs for expansion? To the question, the PDs are jacketed, looking at the Lee info, 124 jacketed, Titegroup, Acc #5,7, (#2 not listed), Win231 all list min OAL at about 1.095". Using Titegroup, I'd certainly try it a little hotter especially @ 1.120", chrono 'em and see how the accuracy develops. Since you have both Accurate 2&7, I'd love to compare the different powders and see how the burning rate affects things. Starting load for #7, (according to Lee), is 7.2 gr @ 1.095", never exceed is 8.0gr. Accurate says for a Gold Dot 124gr, start is 6.4 for #7 @ 1.105", (for a Sierra 125gr JHP, start for #7 is 5.7 of #7 @ 1.035"!). Accurate #2 starts at 3.6gr for a Gold Dot 124gr, 1.105", Sierra 125gr JHP starts at 3.3gr, 1.035". For me, I'd start the #7 loads using the Accurate info and work my way up to the Lee stuff. I'd have to think the Accurate info the best place to start.

I have shot thousands of the PD 124 RN with HP 38 and Power Pistol. I use either Speer or Hornady data. I can not say what will work best in your gun/barrel as I do not have either.
