k frame snubbie holster question
I'm looking for a holster for my model 10 2". I like the looks of the Galco Speed Paddle. The fit charts things show the size 112 to fit k frames like the 19. Question for general charts like this is, is the k frame model 10 the same size as the k frame model 19? Or, if a company says their holster fits a model 19, will it fit a model 10?
TIA

They have the same frame size, but the Model 19 has a 2.5" barrel and a different (shrouded) barrel profile than your 2" Model 10. That said, the Model 10 will probably fit - just not perfectly. The holster will be a little too long and the barrel will be a little loose in the holster - which shouldn't be much of a problem as much of the gun's frame should be pretty well tightly fitted in the holster.
For the best information about how a given holster fits your gun, call the holster maker. I'm just some clown on the internet!

That's the trouble with most "cookie cutter" gunleather companies...they don't offer distinctive models for the 2 inch K frame M&P nor do they offer one for a 3 inch K frame M&P. Galco is my very favorite holster company, but this really chaps me that they use the model 19/66 snub holster as a "catch all" for short barrelled K frames. They do the same thing on their pocket holsters for the J frame and a Colt Detective/Cobra and Ruger SP101.
About the only maker (other than custom) that I've seen make a holster similar to the Galco that is fitted SPECIALLY for the 2 incher is DeSantis. They are purdy good leather guys...Give 'em a look!

Look at LoboGunLeather. He has made two of his #1 Pancakes for me. One for a 3" 65 and one for a Colt DS 2". He fits them perfectly and the price is very reasonable.
Just Google LoboGunLeather

Lobo is a good source. I also like the Galco pancake style. For a pretty inexpensive one, try Don Hume. There JIT and belt slide models are what I carry in 95% of the time, because I'm really hard on the stuff hanging on my side, bang it in to things all the time.
Actually, just came in from the woods, and I'm wearing a Don Hume belt slide with an L-frame 586 in it right now.

Yeah, for the money (around 20 bucks or so) it's hard to beat the Don Hume JIT Slide. It's still the most comfy holster I own, but it has a hard time fitting onto a 1.75" belt. It fits a 1.5 nicely, but a 1.75" is a little snug.
I rarely (if ever) wear a 1.5" wide belt. Every once in a blue moon maybe.
