Default Need some advice on an El Paso Saddelry Threepersons holster

I'm going to call and get their opinion but I'd like the opinion of some folks here who have a lot of experience with S&W revolvers.

I own a Tom Threepersons EPS holster that was originally made for my no dash 4" 29. It was also fit other N frames with partially lugged barrels, including my 25-5, mountain guns, etc. I have not tried it with a full-lugged barrel but I figure it might not work.

I'm going to order another Threepersons holster, and this one will be primarily used for a 4" 19 or 66. I figure that it will probably work for any 4" K Frame, but I'm wondering if it will fit a 686 with a full underlug barrel. I think not, and that's why I'm considering ordering the holster for a 4" 686, and that way I can use it for either the 686 or 4" K Frames.

Has anyone tried this?

If you order it for the 686 it will fit the the K-frame also but it will be a little loose.

Ditto...

If you call them tomorrow I am sure they will help you in person too. They did me on my last order with them.

El Paso Saddlery is well known for excellent products and customer service. Give them a call to clear up any questions regarding barrel profiles (lugged, etc) and I'm sure they will make you a satisfied customer.

I disagree. Probably if you order one of their floral carving holsters. I ordered a shoulder rig (plain black) for my 1917 revolver. It had the look and feel of a "hong-kong" special. The snaps and attachments were amateurish at best. What made it worse is that I actually made the trip to their building in El Paso for a personal fitting. I actually had a bad feeling that they had sub-contracted their work across the river just to make mine....Anyway, just another opinion from a "unhappy camper"....Oh, I salvaged the holster portion with a local bootmaker to make a OWB..

EPS is not exactly well known for making shoulder holsters. You would've had better luck buying from a maker that is known for good shoulder rigs.

I've had a dozen or so holsters from EPS over the years and all have been top quality.

I CAN tell you that A full lug 629 Classic fits fine in EPS TP holster made for a 29-2.
