Default Will newer 3rd Gen. S&W autos w/round t-guard, fit old style S&W holsters?

I occasionally see holsters made for the older style, weird, curved trigger guard guns available, and I wonder if the the later rounded trigger guard 3rd generation guns of the same model will fit in these holsters?

I'm talking about the some of the Desantis owb belt holsters, and other, sort of mass production holsters, in which you can definately see the shape of the old style trigger guard in the holster, and are made for specific models, but may not be fit quite as tightly as a holster from a custom holster maker.

Yes, round trigger guard pistols will fit in the older square trigger guard holsters. A good many of my holsters are for the square guard. It works just fine as long as you are tryng a round 5906 into a square 5906 holster. The 9 mm and 45 frames are a good bit different in size.

Cheers,
Sam

Good to know that most of these work, as there are a fair amount of the holsters made for the older steel/alloy frame guns still out there. Thanks.
