Default IWB Tuckable Suggestions?

Greetings. Looking for some advice on a tuckable IWB holster.

I have been CC daily for the last 6 years or so, primarily a full size or compact semi-auto OWB. On occasion I carry a Kahr P40 in an Alessi IWB, and once in a blue moon a Keltec P3AT in a front pocket holster. Now I would like to try a tuckable IWB holster for my Kahr P40.

I'm looking at the Crossbreed Super Tuck or Mini Tuck. Anyone have any feedback for either with a Kahr P/CW series or similar size guns?

Open to suggestions on other brands of holsters as well, as long as it is an IWB tuckable.

Thanks for any input.

James

Remora is the answer to your question.

"Tuckable" and absolutely undetectable when properly worn.

Be safe.

Check out the Foxx Hybrid Holster. Just $39 and everybody says the quality is outstanding. Very quick turnaround, too.

Try http://www.ozarksholstercompany.com/

Very similar to the Crossbreed, but they're all horsehide, cheaper, and will ship a lot faster!

I carry in a Galco Skyops. Pistol carried is a Sig Sauer P239 in 40 caliber with an 8 round +1 magazine kit. In 5 years of carrying this rig year round I've never once had anyone ask me if I was carrying. The key is to make sure that your shirts are one size too large and let them blouse out a bit at the waist.

BTW, by pure chance I've discovered that this holster will also allow me to carry a 5 inch 1911 in complete concealment and security, however loose fitting pants are required in order to keep the longer barrel/slide from "printing".

The only real downside of this particular holster is that it doesn't feature any hold open mechanism, so it does require both hands to holster the pistol. In addition, as with any tuckable holster, getting tucked in is a bit of a pain and should be done in an area of full privacy because you may "pants" yourself while trying to Tuck In.

The positive aspect of that lack of any hold open is that I can wear it at work all day and the holster is inconspicuous enough that most won't ever see it even if I don't have my shirt behind the tuck. Means if I'm going to work in a cover garment I can carry with simple IWB, lock the handgun in my desk, then work all day without ever having to remove the holster or re-dress my shirt.

A good belt will make a good holster even better. There is a HUGE difference. I carried for 2 years before finding a gun belt.. wish I would have found it sooner.

Never had a problem with my crossbreed super tuck... except had to trim some off where it was popping the mag release when sitting down in the car... I would assume that would be an issue with any leather/kydex holster where only one side is molded though. (Carrying a full sized gun not a compact)

I cary a FoxX Holster with an m&p40c. Awesome quality, the clips are nice and strong, and the leather is sturdy. Lifetime warranty with no questions asked. They don't charge extra for a tan holster with a combat cut. Free shipping on their website and you will get it in less than 5 days. Product is made here in the states! Very groovy!

I like Kholster Holsters 314-669-5780 holsters. A small player in the industry, but that gets you the kind of service only a small business can provide. The warranty is excellent, the product is well made, and it is VERY comfortable to wear all day.

For maximum concealment and comfort I recommend either the Sticky Holster or the Remora. Both have no clips and are made out of a fabric that stays inside your pants or pocket while drawing. I've been experimanting with different modes of carry for over 40 years and these are two outstanding products.

I just got my permit to CC about 3 weeks ago. I had done a lot of research about holsters leading up to that so I had ordered a Crossbreed Supertuck in anticipation. It arrived the same week I got my permit. Also based on advice from this Forum and other places I ordered a heavy belt from Crossbreed. So far I have been very happy with my decision. It looks like the 4 oclock position is going to work best for me. I am carrying a CS9 which is short so that simplifies some problems. That has been my experience. I hope it helps you make your decision. Yesterday, I ordered a Crossbreed Snap Slide for those times when an OWB holster would work better.

I'm liking the Foxx Holsters as well. Granted I haven't tried several other types. The leather is a little thicker vs. a Crossbreed yet very comfortable. Great choices on optional Kydex clips including low profile and barely visible Velcro types. Delivery within 5 days at half the price of similar IWB holsters. Finally got a good gun belt which does make a huge difference.

Great hybrid holster and great price. A little smaller in print than an Old Faithful, but really comfortable. 30 day free trial and guaranteed for life.

Take a look at Bullseyegunholsters.com I think you'll like what you see. Custom made by a retired cop, and reasonable prices.

Is it as adjustable as the old faithful talks about on their web site, tension on the kydex, cant etc? Could not find that info on the alien gear web site or I just missed it, but screws look the same in pictures, was curious.

It has just as much adjustment. Comes with 3 sets of different length screws and spacers to custom fit to your gun. Cant is adjustable as well. Well made. Very comfortable.
