Default Magazine capacity limits

In case you are not familiar with his work, Alan Korwin, the “Uninvited Ombudsman,” is an excellent source for RKBA issues. He also has a free news letter you can sign up for. http://www.gunlaws.com/PageNineIndex.htm

Below is a pull-quote from his latest offering, some suggested talking points on the proposed limit on magazine capacity. For the entire article, go to; http://pagenine.typepad.com/page_nine/2011/02/magazine-ammo-limits.html

“The Crux”

“By focusing on magazine size instead of ways to stop active shooters you jeopardize everyone's safety.”

“Hoping to limit murderers by limiting magazines is irrational and hoplophobic.”

“Why have people picked a ten-round limit? Why not two?”

“Are they saying it's OK to only kill ten people? That makes no sense.”

“Would you make police obey the same limit? Why not? This is key.”

They never can answer 'what happens if you carry 2 guns with 10 rnds each'. Is that any better than one 20 round mag?
Stupid feel good laws that don't fix the problem. And also don't keep the criminals from committing crimes.

Well, the slippery slope of their (anti-gun) argument will then be that you (the law abiding citizen) can only own one gun. Or worse yet, you'll only be able to buy a maximum of "X" rounds at a time, but only if you are "licensed" to purchase them (like you have to be in IL).
